We appreciate all users who take the time to flag posts that may be inappropriate or concerning. The ‘Flag to Moderator’ feature is an important tool that helps keep our community safe and supportive.
Recently, however, we have seen a sharp increase in flagged posts. While we carefully review each report, our priority is to first address the most urgent concerns:
- Safety and well-being concerns – posts that indicate a risk to the user or others.
- Potentially illegal content – any content that may break the law.
- Harmful or abusive content – posts that could negatively impact the well-being of others.
- Other rule breaches – such as spam, identifying information, or unauthorised research/media requests.
To help us focus on the most critical issues first, we kindly ask users to avoid flagging posts that are unlikely to be urgent or in breach of the rules.
Our Online Community is built on a diverse range of voices where everyone contributes in their own way, whether by sharing experiences, offering advice, or linking to useful resources. Differences in posting style are part of what makes this space so valuable.
Please also remember Rule 7: Be respectful in discussions. Disagreements are fine, but personal attacks and insults are not. Swearing is not allowed. Please respect other viewpoints and avoid taking sides in arguments. Comments can be misinterpreted, and posts may come from users who are anxious or distressed. If something upsets you, take a break before responding.
