I don't have any autistic friends

Hello everyone I am taking a break from social media but I am trying to connect more to people here. I find that there are some toxic people out there who know how to hurt me when I am vulnerable so I have to distance myself from them. I'm really sad at the moment but I still need to interact with people other than my husband. Not that there's anything wrong with him but he's my person and I don't want to always put everything on him. I tried to post yesterday but I guess my post didn't go through.

    I too avoid social media (although this forum kinda has traits) ... It's very worrying how nasty some can be whilst anonymous or even hundreds of miles away.

    You say you don't have autistic friends, but do you have non-autistic friends?? I don't think any of my friends have been diagnosed, but most are a bit different in some way, like me  Grin

    Hello literal_joe thanks for the reply. I do have friends who are not autistic. A lot of them are a bit far away and I talk to them very often but do not see people very often. I like being a home a lot but I do sometimes need just at least to communicate with others during the day which helps. And getting out once in a while even for a walk or something. Now I am rambling lol
