Splint

My ES got a splint yesterday ... he's a determined tiptoe walker and sees the physio quite regularly but the muscles in his right calf particularly have got really tight.  I'm really hoping it makes a difference ... at the moment he's only wearing it for short periods of time but the aim is that he'll be able to wear it over night.

He's really enthusiastic about wearing it so far ... I think it's cos he knows he can play his DS while he's sitting still!

I know it's silly but I got really upset about the splint at first but now that he's got it I'm fine ... just one of my "wobbles"!

  • Thanks Oatie ... nice to know I'm not alone :-)

  • I think we'd all be the same..I knew another little lad with splints and he was fine afterwards..they made a huge difference. He was worried the other kids would tease him when he started school but they were all OK with it.

I saw a picture of him the other day..now a strapping hulk if a teenager! MAde me feel ancient !

I think sometimes it's the 'yet another thing to deal with' wobble..then afterwards we wonder why we were worried..I do it alot so you're not alone there.
