I still don't get it. My mind has now stopped thinking in Spanish and has a video running of a lean man running up a hill to exercise, then seeing a person walking towards them and running back the other way. Or perhaps it's a person cycling on the pavement. Or a big dog that escaped from its owner. Or all 3?
OK - so enough's enough.....I can put you out of your WTAF regarding this matter.
I don't like bots, nor most especially, bots that imitate humans. I feel that they pray on people (aka our friends and our community) here.....in a way that is not healthy.
I have been around here for a while.......and therefore have witnessed the exponential rise of these entities (although some other humans here do not share this perception that I hold.)
I have had a habit/penchant (French, don't-ya-know) to respond to entities that I perceive in that way, in a non-aggressive and non-invasive fashion.......with interactions from me that are "enquiring" and obtuse in nature. I am an analyst.
I have been told, by some members of this community, in recent times, to "cease and desist"....a request that I have adhered to......for the sake of attempted PEACE!
This thread that I started, was prompted by, a post that "peaked my interest" in my old penchant - IN A STRONG WAY..........but rather than respond directly, I chose to raise this thread.
I don't want to walk through woods with more signposts that trees, and with more trolls than squirrels, rabbits and borage.
I am a diminishing Number, it feels. Not an unusual feeling for me.
Oui, je comprend "penchant" - oh m*rd* , now I'm replying in French!
I find your posts interesting and thought provoking, and I think that zero is the strongest number.
Sometimes I see posts that are obviously bots - I don't engage with those - but I think that maybe there are some "bot" posts that I think are humans as I think they are evolving. But if it's a question that other people might have I'll respond with what I hope might be useful advice, as someone else might read it and find it helpful.
I like to think of it as the missing bit in the middle of a donut - so much lost potential.
Zero as both concept and number were concieved in India, were taught to the Arabs, who brought it to Europe. Europeans think of zero and other numbers as Arabic numerals, Arabs think of them as Indian numbers.
