Driving Anxiety

So I have major driving anxiety, particularly when it comes to busy places. I also really struggle with parking, and other manoeuvres and things like overtaking buses or bikes as well as parked cars. I get really overwhelmed in these situations and I just wondered if this is at all related to autism or it’s just my anxiety on the roads? Thank you in advance.

  • So, I read this as:- You have "major anxiety" comprised of "anxiety on the roads" + "autism" in tandem = you?

    I have "substantive anxiety" comprised of "officialdom / standardisation procedures" + "autism" in tandem = me.

    Personally, I have extremely little "anxiety on the roads" but lots of autism, and perhaps you have extremely little "anxiety of officialdom / standardisation procedures" but lots of autism.

    I think the first things for you to think about are.......is it only driving that causes you "major anxiety," or are there other things too.....are there any other non-anxiety related behaviours that suggest you may be autistic?.....or do you already know you are autistic?
