What's your latest obsession?

Not my typical music choice, but this performance by Jacob Collier blew my mind... I watched it 3/4 times before realising how accomplished it is

What's on your menu at the moment?

  • My wife suggested I try daily games to occupy me. She plays Wordle and Connections, but I'm not into word games like crosswords - they don't gel with me, I like visuals rather than words.

So I've found two puzzle games on LinkedIn which I've really gotten into. One is called Zip, you draw a continuous line round a grid and have to go through all the numbers in sequence. Another is called Tango, a bit like sudoku where you have to balance a grid, but you have two symbols only, and a set of rules that govern how lines can be laid out.

The one thing I don't like is they have a timer, making me feel like I'm competing against the world for a "best time", so I try and ignore that but and do it at my own leisure.

  • My son has this Lego Concorde, it certainly is impressive!

  • I recently got myself the lego concorde with lighting kit. Expensuve but I justified it by telling myself it was a "Congratulations on the new job!" present to myself. Was also a bit easier to justify when you realise the size of it, and cool stuff like the landing gear going up and down when you spin the tail. I'm quite happy with it Blush

  • Apart from the usual suspects which I have had since lbeing small, I’m into Sudoku puzzles at thee moment. it brings out the completer thing within me as well as numbers!

  • I haven't got one, I didn't have an old obsession either

  • Every time I do something new I over think all the steps and different ways i can do it and obsess about it. Also when I find something I like such as model building i obsess about it, even during a conversation I'll be thinking about it instead of listening to the conversation. My obsessions cost money as I'll spend on everything I need and more such as model building and DIY. Obsession has also helped me self learn such as mathematics and formula which I still have an obsession with, working through problem after problem in various text books, this coming in hand for my job as engineer

  • Routine is always my obsession more so less than particular items, places, animals or people. Familiarity is always key

  • I have recently become interested in planes and the aviation industry. I got a flight tracker on my phone which is super fun and I have been watching lots of content from pilots !!
