Autism and the Judicial Syatem

Dear Community,

i thought I would share the following concerns.

I am facing a magistrates court case regarding a neighbour dispute. The neighbours have formed in my view a mob who have backed up all their allegations.

The Police have taken their side and have got the CPS to agree a trial.I am pleading not guilty.

My psychiatrist and a form of intermediaries have done reports and assessments and have agreed I should have an intermediary their at all times for my welfare.

The judge has overruled and said he will look after my welfare!

What I am furious about is this is typical of the way we are treated.Autism is just not understood as it is a a spectrum and not a one size fits all.

I like many of my fellow community can appear like anyone else then in seconds I can go into sensory overload meltdown or shutdown.

I can come across as somewhat gobby when I am unfiltered and I struggle with communication when it is not clear.

Has anyone had a similar experience any advice and do you think this is fair treatment bearing in mind we are meant ti be protected by the Equality Act
