I've been looking for a volunteer role.
I'm only really wanting to work with animals or in the countryside, mainly on my own, so my options are limited.
I've applied for a couple but there aren't many opportunities.
In the past I've collected money for anti-cruelty animal charities, but I did have some very nasty experiences with members of the public.
Does anyone else here volunteer and what do you do?
Also if you were able to volunteer what would you like to do?

I'm finding your own stories really interesting to read, and appreciate the pointers.
I'm currently on the waiting list for caring for animals on a community farm and also for several roles that hopefully may arise at two country parks fairly nearby.
Regarding the country parks, there will be an induction in around a month to meet people and look at roles that may be available.
Waiting lists tend to happen here because I'm in a highly populated area of England.
