I've been looking for a volunteer role.

I'm only really wanting to work with animals or in the countryside, mainly on my own, so my options are limited.

I've applied for a couple but there aren't many opportunities.

In the past I've collected money for anti-cruelty animal charities, but I did have some very nasty experiences with members of the public.

Does anyone else here volunteer and what do you do?

Also if you were able to volunteer what would you like to do?

  • Hello, I volunteer as a litter picker and work alone on the moors. I did this through my local council who ran an ad and applied. Maybe there is something like this in your area? I love the work and being able to go out where and when I chose to and to make a difference when collecting up to 14 bags in a day. I meet some great people and many wave as they drive past. It is hard and dirty work but I have high viz and gloves and bags provided as well as a picker.
