How has everyone’s year going for them so far

Hi so are you guys year going so far? With me it’s hard I have been approved to do agency work around different schools but at the moment there are no placements available. I’ve got the job centre on my back which is really annoying. The good things about this year is I did my first live fire performance at a winter festival. Hundreds of people watched and I loved every minute of it and I am doing more practice with my fire staff I was at the park earlier practicing with it unlit for a good hour and my dog had a nice run around. I am planning on creating a zen garden in my house to help with my mental health so far I have an indoor water fountain battery operated and I’m going to grow a bonsai tree. I’m also helping a local autism charity with an enterprise project to help raise funds so yeah so far this year is having its ups and downs. So please share how this year is going for you so far.

  • You sound like you've had an amazing start to the year! I've done OK so far I think, getting into some better habits with eating/sleeping. I've done a few jobs around the house and we've decided this is the year to move house and have set a date to get the place on the market so I feel like I have some forward momentum.

I always start the year positively, it tends to go a bit downhill in the second half. Over the years, by trial and error, and even before I had an inkling I was autistic, I've built a life that is relatively autism friendly. It's finding a balance between my comfort zone and stretching myself that is challenging at times, but so far so good in 2025.
