Only child

I really struggled this morning to get my daughter to go out and call for her friend, she got her bike out of the gararge and left .......I felt pleased .about an hour later she rang me from the park upset  she said ,"mum my friend has just seen two girls from school, and went over two them i followed my friend sat down with them the girls told me not to sit their they left me out and they made me feel small mum "....................I told my daughter to come home ,she did come home and was really sad ,as again her so called friend let her down again .................She doesn't want to go to summer groups but i know she wants to be out having fun with kids ,i feel so helpless as this is only the begining of the summer holls and she's an only child  x M

  • Aww Tea..(((HUGS))) Isn't it heartbreaking?

I had a similar experience today with my son...but he did have a good time at the Special Needs playground earlier which gave me a warm feeling.

Have you got anyone you can contact about sporting activities or play sessions for kids with disabilities.? The place we attend locally is fab and the other kids and parents (who have a wide range of abilities) are so welcoming. I guess with people in these places they have had bigger things to worry about so are generally more open minded and co-operative.

Start ringing round and see what's going on locally..I was shattered today after the play area but my kids had a great time and it was a nice sort of tired..much better than a stressy sort of tired !

Maybe your daughter could do with a chance of scene and faces to build her confidence and meet some more understanding individuals.

    I feel for you both

    Take care
