Essential maintenance: timing clarification

Thank you for your announcement.

You said "We will be performing essential maintenance on the 14th to the 16th of January. This will mean the Online Community will be unavailable for a short period of time whilst we perform the maintenance."

Could you please clarify: does this mean the community will be offline for the whole of that time, or just for one or more short periods of time within that window?

I'm sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but it would help me - and maybe others - to better understand what to expect.

    I think it was that link you posted on the I saw this years ago thread from last night - that site has reputation for extremist content in the moderation world (I have no personal opinion as I don't have much experience with it).

    Maybe the moderation naughty step has become even more sensitive now - good you can still post though so it isn't locking you out completely.

    Somebody intervened, took me off moderation (all posts and PM's again) and wrote me a nice letter explaning why. 

    The link given did not link to actual offensive content at all, unless you really cannot stand foul langage.

    Although the guys delivery of the content used quite vile language, the message itself was very wise, absolutely helpful for reframing a seemingly intractable problem that was being discussed, and enduring the repeated use of the C word a small price to pay for the insight that the guy supplied. 

    To paraphrase his message: (Becuase it's important and DOES not brerach the guidlines when I try it, although it Loses much of it's impact, I feel, which is why I put the link:

    A bottle of water costs about 50P in the supermarket. 

    The same bottle of water costs about £2 at the gym, £3 at the cinema, or £6.00 on an aeroplane!

    IT's teh same water, nothings changed except it's LOCATION.

    So the next time you think you have no value, MAYBE ITS TIME to change your location?
