When you consider how much confidence is needed to get behind the camera and start creating content that is potentially seen by huge numbers of people, I suspect few autists would be able to do it, or do it very well.
So what we end up with is the ones who have more NT leaning social and presentational skills which do not really represent the bulk of us.
Also the nature of a spectrum condition means that they probably won't have the same traits as that many of us, so finding a good match for us to empathise with will be difficult.
There's no way I could do what they do. One of my most awful experiences was being in a group that was supposed to help with (social)anxiety. As an icebreaker we were supposed to mention one thing that no one would know about us. I'm ashamed to say when it came to my turn I completely lost the plot and hysterically dashed out of the room.
