Hi guys, I’m nervous what y’all think about this, I felt like is not correct

I have just submitted the latest tests so that I can be diagnose, I’m nervousss, but I felt that my psychologist lacked a lot, she didn't even interview me, and sent me only 3 tests to do at home, that I didn't even understand very well, I am currently being treated for autism and ADHD, but I feel that something is not right :/ I'm a little frustrated to be honest....

  • Anxiety and distress are not just the preserve of new members and potential new members here.  Accommodations and reasonable adjustments should apply for all here, in my opinion.

  • Don't patronise me

It wasn't intended as patronising. I highighted your contributions and acknowledged them - if you are reading somethine else into this I don't know what else to do as I feel attacked no matter what I do.

  • Rule setters will never be happy, but the community that talk here definitely value your presence, and then some

  • I do not understand how Weslyy is supported by your loud decision, to pour derision.

  •   I'm sorry that your thread has gone off topic. Hopefully my reply to you below, with the link to the related NAS article, is still helpful.  DisappointedDove

There are also several other articles that you might also find helpful in the diagnosis hub, covering before, during, and after an autism assessment:

    NAS - diagnosis

  • I wonder if you appreciate the irony of an autist complaining about another autist exhibiting autistic behaviour.

I wonder if you appreciate the hypocrisy of calling out another autistic person for explaining why they feel offended, when you yourself recently posted this:

“My opinion is that we all have rights, including the right to be offended.”

    Thank you for your service.

    Don't patronise me.

  • Anywhere or nowhere JT......but thank you for your kind comment.  Apparently, my differences are no longer acceptable for here.

  • i do not understand  how your commemts are applicable to my posts here.

I think the fact you said "Rabbit won't like this" and went ahead and posted it anyway resulted in it being flagged as abusive.

I'm not sure I agree that your posts are abusive to the OP though - as autists we have different styles of communication and these often lead to bullying in our lives so I would hate to think this is the case here.

I'll be off from here and this platform very soon

I'm getting tempted to do the same.

  • I agree and support all that you say, but i do not understand  how your commemts are applicable to my posts here.

At a guess, I’d suggest it’s because baiting and testing people (who may already be anxious or distressed) to satisfy your curiosity or suspicions is disrespectful - per the rule’s title.

  • I do get very upset indeed when you bait new members who you suspect of being bots or spammers, with the aim of satisfying yourself that they’re human and genuine.

Do you have any constructive ideas on how we can filter out the bots then?

They do appear to be on the rise as more and more AI platforms start using sites such as this to train their models on our replies, so it would help to be part of the solution.

During my time here, I’ve posted what I hope were helpful replies to countless people

    Thank you for your service.

I note that a significant amount of your initial replies link to NAS pages with advice of the subject the posters are talking about - probably an effective way to deflect a bots intentions.

Do you think an AI bot would be able to do this in future? Not because your response is not valuable, but to provide a faster reply to the poster in the first place.

I do notice quite a few posts can go long times (many hours to a few days) without any reply to a tricky issue, plus some seem to just be a rant about something to get it off the posters chest, but for those really looking for help it can feel like a lifetime, or - worse - that nobody cares.

Part of the reason for this question is that I was working on training an AI IT support system 3 years ago and know it is capable of surprisingly effective things when the training has sufficiently detailed and quality information to work from.

Maybe this is a case of "to a man with a hammer every problem looks like a nail" as the Japanese would say, but since the thread was moving to bot discussions then I though it relevant.

  • May I remind users of Rule 7

Rule 7: Be respectful in discussions. Disagreements are fine, but personal attacks and insults are not. Swearing is not allowed. Please respect other viewpoints and avoid taking sides in arguments. Comments can be misinterpreted, and posts may come from users who are anxious or distressed. If something upsets you, take a break before responding.

    Kind regards,

  • Rabbit won't like this observation....but ZERO points.

Hello Weslyy.....Nice to meet you.  What are the treatments that you are currently experiencing for ADHD and autism?  I am interested in them.

Wes - Are you still around, mate?  Woried.  Is the treatments ok?

As you know, I do get very upset indeed when you bait new members who you suspect of being bots or spammers, with the aim of satisfying yourself that they’re human and genuine.

Neither bots nor scammers care who replies to them, but an absence of a reply to your baiting questions doesn’t prove anything.

During my time here, I’ve posted what I hope were helpful replies to countless people who also never either replied, upvoted my reply, nor ever posted again anywhere else on the forum. This also doesn’t prove that they were bots or spammers.

As I’ve shared before, your previous behaviour in routinely baiting people who you considered to be potentially “suspect” put me off posting actively here for a long time, because I had no desire to be baited or otherwise tested by you.

This forum has enough issues already that lead people to, variously, not post at all, not reply, or leave.

Dissuading people from participating in the first place, or testing / badgering them when they do, is still not, in my opinion, remotely helpful to anyone. If bad actors (eg bots or spammers) do manage to join, then there's already a system in place to ensure they get dealt with.

  • Oh no, where you off to? That's a major downer for us semi-regulars Pensive

  • Wes - Are you still around, mate?  Woried.  Is the treatments ok?

  • Hi and welcome to the community!

It can be perfectly normal for us to be asked to complete various screening tests and/or questionnaires as part of both autism and ADHD assessments, especially during the early stages.

You might find the advice here helpful:

NAS - What happens during an autism assessment

  • I’ve never heard of this before, was the test done by official organisations? They should produce a report and write what they found was autistic traits. If you think it’s not right Maybe look into what your experiencing if you think it’s something else on the internet

  • Ohh I can give you the names! Im

new here sooo if u want to text me cuz no idea how to do it lmaoo

  • PS....I'll be off from here and this platform very soon.....so if you want to stay in touch with me...please reach out VERY soon.
