Dating is so hard for Autistic people

Why is it so hard to find someone genuine when it comes to dating Pensive.

I thought I would take the big step and join Tinder (again) and FB dating (again). Today I was speaking to someone on FB and he sounded nice and genuine, but something was off and he kept calling me babe and baby with kisses. Then he said he was thinking of be all day and then when I said if he could hold back from calling me baby and babe as I don’t know him that well, he deactivates he account after sending me a message saying “Take Care, your not the lady for me” *sighs*

I feel like I should just stay single and alone Pensive, it’s so hard to find someone.

I just want to feel loved and do all those couple things that everyone does SobSob x

UPDATE: Thank you to the people who have commented so far Relaxed️. I have deleted Tinder and FB Dating. I don’t think Dating apps are for me as I find it so hard to understand if someone is being genuine or just messing with my feelings.

I turned 30 this year so I wanted to actually find someone who would like me the way I am *sighs* but it’s difficult to find anyone genuine these days. Looks like I will be alone with pets for the rest of my life.

  • I was dating before apps were a thing and it was all online dating sites (same idea I guess, just slower Smiley). I met my wife through one of those sites (OKCupid) and before meeting her, I'd had a handful of dates. They helped me become more confident at talking to women and playing the conversation game. Had some odd experiences though. One woman, a lot younger than me, told me that she still lived with her Mum and had been told if she could look after a plant, she would be trusted with a pet. She picked a cactus. I didn't stay for a second drink Stuck out tongue

Another woman met me in a bar where her ex was hanging out. The next day they got back together as he had got jealous and promised to do whatever it was she wanted him to do. I had a date with a different woman who spent the whole meal talking about her ex. With my wife, we spent ages messaging back and forth and just getting to know each other without the stress of meeting up quickly.

I wouldn't give up looking - if it's important to you to meet someone, then persevere with it. It'll be hard and there will be idiots who are only after one thing, or call you pet names, or tell you they're only trusted to look after unkillable plants, but then you might meet that one person who is what you're looking for and they're interested in you!
