Why do people ...

SHOUT loudly on phones on public transport/in public places and even put them on LOUD SPEAKER!!!!

Why is there LOUD music in every place I go to eat and/or have a coffee even if it's a nice little countryside place like the one I went into today.  Who wants it?  The customers or the staff?

Over to you  ...

A moan a day is the well balanced way.

  • People who do video calls on loudspeaker on a train should have a special place in hell Debbie.

I also once sat in an airport departure lounge waiting anxiously to see if a late flight was going to happen and had to endure a couple watching an Indian movie on an iPhone with full loudspeaker. Luckily I didn’t lose the plot.

I never travel without my noise cancelling headphones now.

  • Luckily I didn’t lose the plot.

It must have been a good film.

    Seriously, though, UGH!!

I'm after some noise cancelling headphones as earplugs fall out of my ear holes.

You may have recommended some on the thread I made about them, so sorry if I am repeating myself, but what would you suggest with regard to not playing music? ie I'm hoping for a diminishing of sound.

  • I have two.

Over ear Bose QuietComfort headphones that have absolutely brilliant noise cancelling. I use them when travelling or in the office. They’re a lifesaver. Not cheap though.

I also have in ear Apple AirPods. Their noise cancelling is helpful but not as good as the over ear and unfortunately I also have a problem with them falling out. Particularly my left ear for some reason.
