I'm kinda unsure whether legally I'd be considered autistic at the moment.

I got referred for an assessment by my fully-professional qualified therapist, but a year on I'm still waiting for my assessment.

But I kinda need to know whether I am considered to be or not as it changes the options available to me.

Does it matter that a fully qualified health professional recommended me? I've heard that it does and that should that have happened I'll be considered, legally, autistic.

Safe to say by asking this I am in somewhat of a pickle!

If you can afford it then you could go private.

If you are looking at legally then you would have to prove you met the definition of disabled in the equality act

I should add that to ask for reasonable adjustments then an employer has a duty to provide them
