Which of your parents do you believe is/was/might be/could have been autistic?

I think probably my mother but with a lot of other stuff going on.

However, if so she was under sensitive to noise etc which, from my reading of this forum, is more unusual to 'over'sensitivities.

It could have been my father.

The jury is out (and always will be as they are both deceased).

  • I think both parents have autistic/ADHD traits - but I see the strongest indications in my paternal grandma. As I get older I find myself relating more and more to her way of being. She appeared to be a very cold individual but with the benefit of hindsight I can see that she probably just struggled with social interaction.
