If nobody joins us we could just slice and fry ourselves and serve us up with beans like my mum used to do when I was a child.

Although I have no idea what the content of your original post had been, can I just say that I would prefer to be a tin of corned beef, as opposed to a tin of spam.

Also, the notion of both spam and baked beans is causing me to feel decidedly queasy. Yuck! Bleurgh! 

Or, as my mother sometimes used to say when she considered something to be unpleasant, "Yuck-a-vee!"
