Autumn/Fall images etc

Please share anything you like to do with autumn - photos/drawings/paintings/crafts/finds etc.

I'm going to add some when I find them.

It is by far my favourite season and I have read others say here that they love it.

This year I visited Winkworth Arboretum again - it was beautiful there.

Thank you Zo in particular for inspiring this more general thread.

  • waiting until the sun shines on autumn leaves can create  effects like the one in the photo when the background is blurred

    Thank you.

    That is very interesting indeed.

You are extremely knowledgeable about several subjects.

    Sun with face

  • one more thing the sun was shineing on the leafs that day then.  so that made the leafs look even  brighter than it would of if the ones that are glowing was in the shade when the background was blurred.  waiting until the sun shines on autumn leaves can create  effects like the one in the photo when the background is blurred. thats about it. i didnt do it when the sun wasnt shineing. it doesnt have quiet the same effect in the sense of looking like bright lights  when the sun isnt shineing on the leafs in a certain spot or area.  I  just thought I would let you know cause that was an important peice of infomation I meant to add in the comment.

  • That's really interesting.

I didn't know that you can do that on a phone camera.

    Thank you for sharing.

    thats ok

  • . I used a phone or i pad to do it. so unlike with my canon camara I pressed the screen to blur the image then held my finger down on the flower that is in the view of the camara so that the flower comes into focus. this also locks the sharpness.

if you keep your finger on the screen then let go. the AF on a smartphone locks the sharpness. it locks  the AF this way it doesnt re adjust and blur the object I wanted in focus and it stays focused

  • I meant to say just so people know. I didnt have a m6 canon camara at this time during 2022. I used a phone or i pad to do it. so unlike with my canon camara I pressed the screen to blur the image then held my finger down on the flower that is in the view of the camara so that the flower comes into focus. this also locks the sharpness.
