New forum? Really?

So, we were told we would have a 'new' forum and were given surveys to provide feedback on what we would like in a new platform:

 Upgrading the online community to a new and much improved platform

What we have is the old forum with some functions working again (not all, I note, as I took all my notifications off, then put some back on, but the ones I put back on don't work).

Is it just me that this is bothering?

What was the use of the survey and any communications really, if all we get is what we had before but less broken?

This is another area where a bit of communication would have been nice, at least telling us why we didn't actually get what we were told we would.

  • ... and the spam filter (used to be Akismet, I don't know if it still is) is worse than ever .... with some users ( ) unable to post much at all.

    So far I've seen no improvements at all and in fact it just appears to be exactly the same (layout, settings, functions - everything) with some added trauma thrown in.

    My added trauma is that I still can't access my proper account only this one that I had to set up using my Mums email adress, a new name, pass word the lot. Ijust gone through all the suggested steps and they either don't work or I don't have the ability to access them so I'm probably going to be stuck with this now.
