How was everyone’s Halloween

Hi here a fun post how was everyone’s Halloween? Me I had a nice chill day did some food shopping and bought sweets for the trick or treaters. I then had a nap in the afternoon and then video called my friend. After the call I went for a nice long walk came back fed the dog and cooked food for myself. Sadly loads of trick or treaters walked past but didn’t come to my house so I have a load of sweets. No matter I’m going over my friends tomorrow afternoon spend a few hours with him have a take away and I’ll share the sweets with him. I also spoke to my dad earlier got a bit teary as it’s been a year since he moved to Scotland to be with his new partner, also this month it would have been my parents 35th wedding anniversary and my parents really loved one another but sadly my mum left this planet way to soon and I’m glad my dad has met someone else and she really nice but she not my mum. Anyway I am now watching Harry Potter in my pjs having a quiet evening to myself. So how was everyone else’s Halloween? Did you guys have any trick or treaters knocking? Let me know.

  • I live in a quiet cul-de-sac, and during the 20+ years that I've lived here, Halloween has usually been quiet and uneventful. I have certainly never known any of my neighbours to decorate the outside of their homes with Halloween-themed decorations, and I would be surprised if any of them have ever stocked up on sweets to hand out to Trick or Treaters. In general, my cul-de-sac is one that Trick or Treaters tend to avoid, which I feel incredibly thankful for.

When my dad was alive, he and my mother would always buy a load of sweets for the Trick or Treaters that called at their house. Unlike me, my dad would look forward to answering the door, and seeing groups of children dressed up in their Halloween costumes. He would often pretend to be really scared and let out a mock gasp of horror, which the children (the Trick or Treaters) seemed to enjoy.
