Anyone else getting a bit nervous about the budget this week? 

What do you think will happen and will it be as horrible as I think it is.

I've been worrying for days about this budget.

  • I tend not to think about it, there are far more pressing global challenges.(The middle east, Ukraine, climate change ,us elections etc)

    The bits of the budget that affect us directly tend to be fairly insignificant. They tinker with tax allowances or freeze this or increase that. Labour have said that they won't increase taxes on working people or return to austerity, whether this is true has yet to be seen. They seem to be trying to encourage investment and growth so I can see it being more business orientated.

    They'll likely announce or reannounce investment for the NHS etc.

    I'd like the tax allowances to be increased as that would help many people struggling on the lower pay.

    Can it be really worse than it is now?
