  • I’ve passed through on the North Wales line from Manchester on the way to Holyhead for the ferry to Dublin - there is a very strange view from one of the stations on that line, of a tower block (of either flats or offices) once I’ve changed trains at either Chester, Crewe, Bangor or Lladnuo and in my 23 years living in Manchester, I’ve made this trip home to Ireland in both summer and winter, daytime and overnight on the Irish Ferries Ulysses ferry to Dublin

  • I got a cross-ferry coach, from Busaras to Bangor, ten years ago. I did spend a while, by train, between Bangor and Wrexham.

I visited the Racecourse Ground, before the Hollywood Mob took over the Club. I was soon reminded of Mickey Thomas' Free Kick against Arsenal in 1992. Same thing happened Seaman, for England, from Koeman in 1993 and Ronaldinho in 2002. Bloody Football. Slight smile

I also talked to a man, who had a prominent job with the HSE, who got the same coach as me; to and from Manchester. He said that a son of his was a Senior Human Rights Lawyer, in The Hague. And that son of his helped prosecute the Khmer Rouge.

The ferry was good. Though the security guard in Holyhead, on the way home, was cheeky to me. His problem.
