Songs of praise
️Michaelmass day
Today braved the heavy rain and winds, to go to a songs of praise at a local church.
The choir blended in with other church people. Mainly hymns, readings and prayers.
️Afterwards we had tea and cake (mine was Victoria sponge);
Nice seeing people I know.
Returned home via the supermarket (running out of milk); absolutely soaked and had to do the recycling/garden waste for Monday collection. ️
As usual got asked have you got a job?
I usually say I do voluntary work.
Tonight its roast chicken with potatoes and vegetables. Followed by baked apples nice autumn warm up.
Usually say I do voluntary work or work from home. Greek chicken traybake sounds delicious.
That sounds lovely. I usually go to church but had a chest bug today so didn't go. Still had my mum n dad round and we all had a greek chicken traybake.
Interesting you mention about getting asked about if you have a job. I always get asked that at church too
I would have been happy!
They had flapjacks, sponge and lemon drizzle.
Ah, I understand. I would have been drawn to any type of chocolate cake. Or lemon drizzle.
I didn't contribute anything! Drying off slowly. Anyone can turn up. Did have to ask about allergies though.
That sounds like a nice day, Penguin.
I'm not religious myself, but that sounds lovely.
Do you mean that you contribution to the cakes was Victoria Sponge? Sounds yummy!
Your meal tonight sounds great too!
