In autistic children particularly, there can be a high need for guidance/reassurance for small things.

Can anyone guide me to a reliable website, whether it's an autism website or research that discusses this trait in autism?

    I'm not sure if your suggestion is a joke or not?  (Sorry, Aspie deficit in understanding humour).  If it's not a joke, they can always offer me a job!  (Although I don't know if that role exists).

    I have always advocated positive discipline and to some degree the montessori method of teaching which focuses on following the interests of the child and running with it.  If you research these two areas there may be some referencing to affects on autism.

    By the way, thanks for your replies to my posts, they have been extremely helpful.  Ever thought of joining NAS as a consultant?
