Hey folks I'm looking for advice on next steps after positive ASD assessment.
Spoke to GP who referred me to Vita minds
Vita minds said its not their thing so signposted
Spoke to first one Derbyshire Autism Services who said they are a charity and sessions are £32.50 per hour
Anything that the NHS will pay for or are we all just screwed?
Hello NAS93538,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We understand that it can be a confusing time following a diagnosis, so you may find the following page on our website useful:
https://www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/topics/diagnosis/post-diagnosis-support
You may also want to use our Autism Services Directory to search for relevant services for support in your area that cater for people with an autism spectrum disorder. You can find the Directory here: https://www.autism.org.uk/directory
All the best,
ChloeMod
I got diagnosed the day I had the assessment. 3 years later I was offered a 9 week Phys coeducation course. It was helpful, but it wasn't therapy. Which I desperately need. And it gets harder as you get older. Honestly nobody should have to pay for anything its not like it is our fault but unfortunately that's the world we live in
