Reaching out to someone you've not spoken to in ages

How would you typically do this?

I feel like I have a fairly good idea but I'm worried that one sentence out of place would ruin it, somehow. I don't want them to feel like my intentions are anything other than pure.

I think the main thing I would add is that I wouldn't place pressure on them to reply.

  • Don't over-think it.

Send them the message  "I thought I would reach out to say hi because we haven't spoken in ages."

If you do that, then you'll then be guaranteed more information about how they feel about contact.....the trick will be interpreting the response (or lack of one) in the correct frame of reference.  Only you have the correct frame of reference necessary.

I'm such a dangerous rebel.......I think that constitutes ADVICE >!?  I'll wait quietly for the Men In Black to arrive.
