Has anyone seen the northern lights?

Hi haven’t done any fun discussions on here for a while so let’s start these up again. The northern lights have hit the U.K. yay has anyone seen them yet? If so let me know what they were like. I haven’t seen them yet in the U.K. but don’t mean to brag or anything but I have seen them when me and my mum went on holiday to Iceland a few years ago. We went in November spent 5 days there and it was absolutely amazing the locals were very friendly and all spoke perfect English the food was to die for and my asthma cleared up because of the clean air but the high light of the holiday was seeing the aurora bureaus. If you guys have seen them and have taken a picture please feel free to share them.

  • My daughter and I saw them on Friday night. We've both got apps on our phones which ping us when conditions are right so when it went off she phoned me (got me out of bed) and off we went. We live Lincolnshire in a town so we headed north. We'veTicket chased around the county on many occasions to find dark cloudless skies. Until the weekend  we had vague sightings but they weren't very convincing. On Friday we got the most spectacular view from a track along side a farmers field and stood and watched it ebb and flow for about an hour. It was incredible. My phone camera is really poor but I managed to get some pictures but I don't seem to be able to upload them here
