Help!

Hi everyone!

I'm not a regular on here, but I feel so distressed and have nowhere else to turn.

We live in a terraced house, and our having a dispute with our nextdoor neighbour. They have a leaky wall and are claiming that it's our house wall that is causing it. They don't want to talk - they want us pay them to get it fixed.

I've had 2 meltdowns in 2 days, and I can't cope - I'm supposed to feel safe at home.

Sorry to hear that your dispute with your neighbour is causing you distress. I would suggest you try to speak to someone at your local Citizens Advice about resolving the dispute. I did have a brief search and found this page - https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/housing/problems-where-you-live/if-you-disagree-with-your-neighbour-about-a-wall-or-fence/ - which might be of some help to you, and the information at the bottom about getting a mediator for the dispute and/or speaking to the council if it can't be resolved sounds like it might be relevant as well.

Thank you Ross, I really do appreciate your advice. I havent been able to think properly which had made things worse. My home is my safe space, and I don't feel safe and secure in my safe space anymore.
