(Not looking for medical advice just want to know if there is support for autistic adults and if other people have had similar experiences)
Where are us autistic people supposed to get any kind of support like OT or anything similar? I was told by psychiatrist 2 years ago to request OT to the GP but both OT services have said no. Main OT service says they don't deal with autistics and passed me over to the LD OT team who said along the lines of "yes thats fine we will accept" fast forward to now they now denied the referral and denied ever accepting it in the first place (I have it in writing from them that they would accept) so now am stuck.
Is there actually any support at all? I spent most of school begging for support and having major difficulties but ignored, now i'm 20 with no support as it always has been. Is there anywhere I can look that will offer support or does anyone have similar experiences?
