hi all just wondered how long people have been waiting for an adult diagnosis on the nhs, ive been waiting nearly 2 years and im struggling.
I waited 3 years and would still be waiting had I not switched to Right to Choose via Clinical Partners. I got seen within 3 months of the referral. I'm not sure of their current wait time.
I've been 3/4 years last appointment at the centre tommrow So nervous but I got awarded adult disability before because I can't do daily life for the last 3 years
Hi. I was waiting for 4 years and 5 months, and had my first appointment (clinical interview) on Friday last week. Next appointment this Friday. It is a long wait, so hang in there.
I have been waiting 4 years and 2 months and finally have mine in 10 days. I did also go down the right to choose pathway but that was last July and never got an appointment date with them and my GP obviously never took me off the NHS waiting list.
Go for Right to Choose. Got my diagnosis in 6 months. My county is hopeless, the wait is 3 years.
It’s a 4-5 year wait apparently. If you go back to your GP, you can ask them to refer you to ‘right to choose’ which is still NHS funded but faster.
Indeed. I'm 2 years 'on the pathway'. Getting help out of the NHS even with a diagnosis is quite the challenge.I am now paying a lot for therapy as I gave up waiting for help from the NHS.
