do animals prefer you?

I found out that many times i pat a dog, and its owner comments that it usually doesnt let anyone pat it. feral cats seem to favor me over other people as well. 

i just wonder what others experience is.

  • Very interesting. I've wondered that myself before only I've noticed it more in wild animals and birds. Whereas deer will bolt away from most people they often seem to stick around  but just keep an eye on me. It's almost as if they look at you but sense no fear or threat.

    Perhaps it has something to do with me being on my own and enjoying being quiet.

    Doesn't seem to stretch to the goldfish!
