What are your thoughts on this?
I would say it can cause serious trauma. I have read of quite a few cases where people with learning disabilities who were arrested and threatened with charges killed themselves. Bear in mind that when they're put in a police cell they have an uncomfortable bed, no food unless it is offered, no drink unless it is offered, sometimes even no toilet.
