How would you survive war of the worlds

Hi as promised after a good zombie apocalypse discussion you bring you war of the worlds. How would you survive if space ships came from under the ground and started invading the planet? Me i would hide somewhere try to sneak around without getting caught and wait for our germs to kill off the aliens. Over to you guys now.

    I would get a boat and go out to sea as aliens always attack the big inner cities and populated areas so I think the ocean is a safe bet. I would drink bottled water and rain water, and catch and eat fish to survive.
