What is this called?

Hi, I'm new here but getting straight to my question. What is it called when receiving calls, texts and notifications in general just stress you out? I saw a video on YouTube about it and it had a particular name for the life of me I cannot seem to find it anywhere. I've tried to dumb down my phone and laptop as much as possible but obviously, I still get calls, messages and notifications that come through. When they start stressing me out especially are when I just want to be left alone and when engaging in socialising like even stringing sentences together is draining beyond belief. Even typing this out is incredibly difficult and it's making me want to throw my laptop out the window (sorry for the aggression) it's almost like my brain is saying "I can't function any more" and it actually feels like my body starts to physically hurt. Is there a name for this, is it even an autistic thing?

  • Ok, you can do a couple of things: First, block numbers you do not know. But I do not think this is about spam though...

On another note, you are not going crazy do you know how many websites and apps exist to counter all these emails and so on? Lol. One thing I can advise is to put your devices in aeroplane mode, you'll still be able to connect to the wifi if you want. But no calls. Besides, it's safer.

For the emails, I have a nice tip I just discovered and want to try out! Create a second email address with a different name and so on, it's perfectly legal (as long as you don't use it for scams!) and, you'll be able to reduce your email notifications by putting everything on this second email address you can just ignore.

Sorry, I did not answer your question, if you are worried about what people might think, just tell them you are turning down from your devices for a couple of days (hours as you want) in my experience if these people are your friends/family members they'll understand you just want a break from your screens and not them individually. You can do these multiple times a week to calm your senses if you want. By the way, put these diabolical things under your bed or something, that way you don't have to look at them and be DEVICE-FREE!!
