Government want to look at disability bank accounts to see what we are spending on: this is not good for us autistic.

I read that the government are wanting to look into all disability claimants bank accounts to see what we are spending money on and they can then say that oh! you spend the money on a certain item you should not so we are now going to cut your money.

This is something that they hope to do in time, it has been on the online news.

This would be terrible for us autistic people because a lot of people do not understand autism and how diverse we all are:

for example: autistics might buy the following some might not and need other things for their autism:

Felt tips, paper, pencils art things: they would not understand that this helps us stay calm by being creative and can help stop us going into further meltdowns etc.

A computer and games: same reason as above

A piano and sheet music: could be a special interest and is needed for the autistic person and help stop meltdowns too.

Fancy clothes: for me its 1950s style clothes, to express myself and I cant stand to wear certain clothes

Gluten free foods, special travel like a taxi as buses might be too stressful that day

An indoor clothes drier to stop damp

collections of trains or magazines, comics etc

Some people who dont understand autistim and will think that oh they are buying what they want not what they need, tut tut, they should not be buying that.

What about the autistic that goes on the trains all day because they like it is sooths them. and then someone will say well if they ride trains all day let them work on the trains, but that autistic might be able to talk to people one day but then another day might be mute or unable to and could not work.

yes there are autistics that can work, and those that work long term are ones that got lucky finding their job that is good for them for example they like action figures so work in a forbidden planet. and are okay with people as long as they are talking about the products. but others cannot cope with work at all.

I feel that the government need to understand autism much more. No two autistic people are alike.

What about the person who is has to pay for a private dentist because they dont like the building their local NHS dentists are in for example, and need to have the calm of a private dentist that understands .

Some autistics might have to spend a fortune on a pair of shoes as they cannot wear cheaper ones for what ever reason (the way they feel etc)

these are not all conditions or needs I have just listing how diverse we all are and why this new plan is not very nice.

Because it is scary somehow, big brother is watching you type stuff.

It also puts non-disabled people against disabled people they dont understand, they have never seen an autistic meltdown for example

  • Oh, it is.

Will we wake up in time?

    Nah.

  • Ah. Another one who can see.

Wait till the big picture hoves into view, it's horrific..

  • true. just like covid was just the doorway to allow the government to confine everyone to house arrest and force any jabs on us as possible and test how compliant to dictatorial force and a breach of our bodies we will be under their demand.

  • Sure. There may be a person who works the system successfully. But, you could ask why, if they're that smart, they're not doing something better? Scamming the system won't make you rich, generally speaking.

The idea of the millionaire benefits fraudster is a myth, which serves to perpetuate a lack of empathy with people who are poor and vulnerable.

Are the new powers about fraud? Sure.

But a whole lot more than that. Fraud is just the doorway.

  • yeah in general to track benefit fraud... if you have undeclared income that could impact your benefits your not telling them of then your wrongfully claiming benefits. this is a big thing and they are very strict on it.

but also to see where your spending your welfare on is important for this too.... as you could for all they know be storing excess money in crypto currency, and thus have a bank just under their limits and yet funnel all the extra constantly to a crypto exchange which means you do have all that extra wealth stored in a unofficial exchange/bank that they cant see.... allowing them to see your bank allows them to see movement like this and determine if your storing wealth in crypto... or in gold bullion too which they cannot track....

imagine your claiming benefits, living free somehow like with parents. your always just under the benefit allowance allowing you to constantly stay on welfare but yet you have no upkeep.... then they see when you reach a certain banked amount you then buy a physical untraceable tax free gold bullion coin from the royal mint.... is that acceptable? its clear fraud and its seeable by seeing their transactions.... you can be on benefits and be millions over the allowance this way and save and stack a few hundred thousand and be earning more than a job this way off the backs of people who are slaving away suffering and working hard.

  • Not so simple, unfortunately. They've given themselves comprehensive snooping powers, whether the 'benefit' received is means-tested, or not - including the State pension.

In spite of hollow assurances that this is no big deal, ir really is. In time, their new powers will enable them to surveill almost every bank account in the country, for any purpose, without notification. Their powers will allow them to see things like - where we go, what we support, what our activities are. Our shopping habits are the least of our concerns.

Ask this - why does an allegedly democratic government want to surveill the people?

There are countries that do this, yes, but in the UK? Since freeing themselves of the constraints of EU membership, they've been planning a lot of changes, none of which people are going to enjoy.

This is the start of it, right now.

  • I would imagine they’re less interested in where your money is going and more interested in where your money is coming from. They want to see if you’re working a secret second job under the table.

  • Aside from concerns about civil liberties, of which there are many, this move is also coming from prejudice and discrimination against disabled people and those on benefits, the working class - the upper classes still have this rotten attitude that they are superior beings to those whom they arrogantly see as being beneath them - the point blank refusal to understand the daily lives of those with autism and other disabilities and mental health issues are the very reasons why services are so massively under-funded - frankly, this move must be robustly challenged in the courts by those who are in a position to do so

  • The middle class are closer to the homeless than the super rich, and they know it.

  • TCP (Totalitarian Centrist Party) for the win!

  • Sorry, I was hoping my dry sense of humour would come over in that previous post.

The Tories are scum, they need to be wiped out of governance asap.

We are in a right old state

  • They only see a few purchases , mostly gas and electricity.

  • I trust the Tories, they're only human

    Debatable...

  • I trust the Tories, they're only human and have always done their best for us. I am especially grateful that they share some of their wealth with their serving staff, I think that's very generous

  • So, this is part of the Government's proposed Data Protection and Digital Media Bill, which will enable them, in law, to surveill the bank accounts of anybody in receipt of state benefits (as I understand it)

This is a wide remit which will include virtually everybody - as most people are in receipt of State Benefits of one sort or another- it will be a law which effectively gives them the right to monitor the bank accounts of UK citizens at will and without notice. As I understand it, there need not be a suspicion of fraud, it can be speculative - that means that they can monitor your bank account for any reason and they don't have to tell you why.

This seems to be part of a wider plan to reduce or remove our personal and working freedoms - much easier now that we've left the EU.

At the moment they're working towards removing the right of workers to strike, effectively. I have no doubt that more will follow.

Our democracy is being eroded, it's very upsetting Cry

  • They never will move with the times and will only make use technology as an over-arching element of state surveillance in order to rigorously monitor and control us and every aspect of our lives at every level, right down to the smallest details at every opportunity and for their own ends and that of their demonic globalist masters  - given what we have become aware of since 2020, they quite simply cannot be trusted to act responsibly - personally, I prefer to be pragmatic and realistic rather than idealistic in defence of the truth, rather than engage in toxic and false positivism

  • I agree that the government should have the right to scrutinize my bank account, provided there is transparency regarding the financial dealings of those in positions of power. It's disheartening to witness numerous instances of fraud and manipulation for personal gain by those in authority, only for them to then criticize the general public. Visionaries who strive to better our world often find their efforts hindered by a government primarily driven by a desire for control rather than genuine progress. The current leadership appears to be hitting a wall, grappling with outdated approaches and a lack of innovative thinking.

It's essential for our government officials to embrace modern technologies and methodologies, stepping out of their comfort zones to propel our nation into the 2020s. The absence of visible incorporation of computers and technology in their discussions paints a picture of a government seemingly stuck in the past, reminiscent of the 1970s. To truly advance, we need leaders who can think beyond traditional boundaries, employing new technologies and strategies to address the challenges of our time. It's time to break free from outdated practices and usher in a government that is not only accountable but also forward-thinking and adaptable to the demands of the contemporary era.
