Burnout?

Hi Everyone! 

I was diagnosed Autistic in September, just before my 21st Birthday.

Since July 2022, I've been Agoraphobic which means I'm unable to leave my home. More so over the past 6months I've struggled with basic motivation to complete tasks, my diet has regressed and I find myself to appear "more autistic". I've recently been considering that this may be Autistic Burnout, as I feel I have lost basic skills that I once had.

I've struggled previously with my mental health and have a diagnosis of depression and I find it's very hard to differentiate which it could be.

Does anyone have any advice on how to know the difference? Any tips would be much appreciated!

  • The best advice I can give you is to be kind to yourself. If you can, cut out as many things that put pressure on and take the energy out of you, and focus as much as you can on things you enjoy.
