This annual event usually has some interesting talks. The line up of speakers this year looks particularly impressive and includes Tony Attwood, Pete Wharmby, Dr Devon Price, Sam Stein and many more.
Session previews can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-aawy53dks0jE-O_4nuMiEhnx9cadByj
In order to watch the speaker presentations you need to register and a password will be sent by email. The free registration allows access to the talks for that day for a full 24 hours I believe (from midnight to midnight). Plus at the weekend you can catch up on any you may have missed during the week.

Hi Autonomistic
Thanks for sharing this, the majority of speakers are great! Given the summit is lived experience led, why is Tony Attwood one of the speakers? Or is he autistic too? He has some questionable views about autistic people including harmful ones such as keeping ‘functioning labels’ in the autistic community.
Also you may be interested in the ‘Autism and Neurodiversity Masterclass’ which will launch this week! It is an entirely autistic created and led training course for anyone to learn about our autistic experiences! I am really looking forward to it!

Tony Attwood has an autistic son, Will Attwood. According to this article it took him 30 years to notice!

It was reading one of his books around 10 years ago that first led me to the realisation that I'm autistic. I've always been thankful and considered him in high regard for that reason alone.
I wasn't aware of any controversy surrounding his views on functioning labels. Do you have a source? I found this article, mainly arguing against the use of the term 'high functioning'.

Thanks for the link. I will check that out
You are very welcome! I still don’t really understand why Tony Attwood is a speaker at the event given that it is his son who is autistic.
I completely understand why you are thankful for his work as it helped you with your autistic discovery.
Here is an article about the harmful professional Tony Attwood:
