Just had a note on the web portal with an update on waiting times for the assessment appointment for anyone who is interested or in the process at the moment. Not great in terms of my anxiety over it all but I can't really fault it when I'm one of the people adding to their caseload.
Hey BeckyThump the good news is the website was also saying this when I was waiting and I just got my diagnosis on Friday.
I was contacted on July 6th to book in my assessment appointment and the meeting took place on July 21st - so hopefully you don't have too long to wait now!
Ooh, that's good news. Hopefully they don't contact me too quickly as I'm going on holiday next week
Although maybe seeing the anxious and super sensitive me in the run up to the holiday would help them make their decision. My husband is dealing with my planning and prepping as well as he can but I think even he's starting to get annoyed at me.
I understand the urgent need for there to be a PLAN!
With suspecting I'm autistic and having an anxiety disorder, and my son being diagnosed as autistic, it certainly makes for a more thorough planning process. We both need certain things to be able to go away and making sure it's all in place in advance helps. If not there's guaranteed meltdowns for both of us.
