So many people when I've told them I've got autism seem to roll their eyes and say how many people have autism these days.
I feel fury
Do people just not want to care or is it just they want to avoid problems?
It means so much to me. It doesn't seem to mean much to others.

No it's okay, it's good to vent.I also have exasperated feelings when I get medicalised, but then denied the support I need, like I'm "disordered" but not enough to warrant being helped apparently, so wtf right?If someone were to say "how many people have autism these days" like it's no big deal I'd reply with "well that's probably because of the success of autism awareness campaigns, yay!" And then smile and clap like the sarcastic mo*********** I am. X'D
