That specific area is a special interest of mine.
Although I've never visited Strabane, I have been to Newtownstewart, Plumbridge, Aughabrack, Glenmornan and Sion Mills.
I became fascinated to visit the area by the men from the area who played Gaelic Football for Tyrone. Also, I was also interested in visiting the Cricket Ground at Magheramason.
I plan to visit Sion Mills, this Saturday, for the Strawberry Fair Festival. It's run by the Parish Church, in the village. But there were also Catholics from the Area present in 2019; the last time I was there.
I travel through Strabane and Sion Mills when I travel to Donegal. SM is a quaint wee place, I think they’d restored some of the distinctive (mock Tudor?) architecture on that big meeting hall type building last time I passed through that area three years ago, May go again this July not sure.
The world's longest Six was in Sion Mills, as there was still rolling stock there, and the ball landed in a train bound for Portrush.
Is that a golf term?

Bought a fan, for a tenner, at the White Elephant Store there.
Ah, of course - how ironic given my avatar that I didn't get that! I've always enjoyed the aesthetics and civility of cricket, but never quite grasped the rules.
