This afternoon, I noticed that a baby bird fell onto my driveway. I sent it to a family friend, who's into birds, and his brother - next door to him - said he would let the man know I left the 'scaldie' over; for nurturing.
Also, when about to leave Belfast; today, I noticed a homeless man opposite the door to the Tesco Express in Great Victoria Street. In the end, I bought a snadwich for him; I needed change, for the BFH anyway, but it was still me being of service.
In a World of James Blunts, be Humble.
Yes, it was rhyming slang.
Belfast ones use it, too.
For accuracy I prefer "in a world of Liam Gallaghers be humble" unless ofc you are talking in the new Cockney rhyming slang. But spot on Desmond, deeds over words as they say.
