Does anyone know any techniques for managing meltdowns? Like when you feel one coming on is there something you can do to stop it or at least make it less severe and more manageable. I tend to hit myself in the head and break things during mine and I just want a way to manage it so I dont do that
Oh I would never hurt others, just hit myself and things. Yes it is hard to put those things together, especially when your feeling like that. I think a pillow or something would help
Yes I was thinking of getting, like a stress pillow. Im not sure if those things even exist but I think it might help
Maybe like a punchbag or something would help
Warn others that your having a meltdown (easier said than done) Get some alone time. Scream into a pillow.
- Very difficult to put all three together when your having a meltdown.
Try to avoid hurting yourself or others or things.
Punch a pillow. This going to sound silly, cuddle a teddy bear and do something calming like a word search.
