My advice for internet safety and privacy is to run everything on laptop/pc through firefox using a VPN, and the following extensions Ghosterly, Adblocker Ultimate and uBlock Origin, if you already use firefox then you will have to go to passwords unde the 3 bars and save any passwords and log in details to a physical format ie copy them into a notebook and then clear the cache and cookies. after that your browser should be pretty clean slate as long as you remember to reject all non essential cookies when you visit new websites.

I am sad to report that Instagram also do a lot of content tracking even if they allow your user profile to be more anonymous (for advertising purposes you get identified online with a tag, a series of numbers you see, not by your actual name.) It's not as bad if you use the web version, but people have reported that the app does appear to listen to phonecall topics based on teh ads it gives after certain things are talked about and teh reason is that by installing it as an app you usually give the app version permission to access mic and call logs.

I'm confused, have never seen any mention of a facebook group for members? Where are you seeing this?

I uninstalled Facebook, and Messenger, from my phone.

Using it on a computer would discipline me, more.

I use Instagram for following local news and business. Also things like. 

To be honest FB wants to harvest your data and target you with ads anyway, it can be a really toxic place too. Best just use an ad and tracker blocker, decline all unnecessary cookies and use the forum here.

I don't use Facebook anymore as was turning toxic. Also your the product. It's like big brother.
