Hi.
I am new to all this, and I am trying to find any suggestions for the best way to meet people. Groups that people had good experiences with or suggestions for good places to meet.
I gave up socializing years ago, when I thought I was just broken and didn't understand why being social was so hard for me. As I have now discovered that part of my problem is autism, i have had to reevaluate my decisions, such as "I am incapable of maintaining social relationships".
I would like to try to meet people but I have no idea how to do so where I, or anyone else, is going to feel comfortable.
If anyone has suggestions for good meetups or good places to arrange to meet, please post.
I should add I suppose, I am a late forties (male) engineer. I'd like to think I am a nice enough guy, but I am aware I have significant difficulty in reading people and judging social situations.

Hi there not sure how close you are but there are in person meetings in Lemington Spar. Also quite a few in Birmingham both in person and online. Let me know and I will post links for you.
