Feedback Appointment

Hello, I have finally got an appointment for the feedback of my assessment which is in 4 weeks time.

Ihave asked if I can have a "yes or a no" before hand, but have been told they are unable to give an outcome prior to the appointment which is most frustrating.

Anyhow, I was just wondering if this is normal?

I'm trying to read between the lines to see if not being told is basically them saying I'm not, or if it's because they want to tell me I am but in more detail as to why. If that makes sense?

Has anybody "not" been told prior the appointment and then get told they are autustic? I just want to find out one way or the other and it's so frustrating. Thanks.

  • Hiya,

That sounds really frustrating to know they have made a decision but to have to wait 4 weeks to find out.

They refused to tell me over the phone however I had an appointment 3 days after so didn't have to wait long. 4 weeks in unbelievable. Any chance you can contact them and explain how you feel about waiting 4 weeks?

P.S. regardless of whether you are diagnosed or not, you will always be a part of the community. Let us know how it goes

  • Thankyou for your reply. And thankyouSlight smileI know, the wait times are awful. I had my assesment back in February, its just the thought of another 4 weeks of not knowing is driving me insane. They did put in the email that they understand how much anxiety the wait is having on me and thanked Me for my patience. I might try and see if any cancellation comes up that they can fit me in sooner.
