2 years ago, the wait in the east of England was 2 years. Goodness knows what it is now.

That’s not good. I didn’t even see my GP. Just did x2 quotient tests at reception, had them sent off and got a random call a year later from a provider based in Reading: Solutions4Diagnostics+ I hope it’s quicker for you too. 

I’m Cambridgeshire way, gp won’t do the referral till the 26th April and said that the waiting list is 4 years + 

Took almost exactly 12 months to the day for my referral. Prob depends where you live. I’m in the West Mids. 

Hi there Amy123, it was only 12 weeks for me. My local NHS service paid for a number of private places so that they could reduce waiting times on their list.  It's not guaranteed but you might not wait as long as you think.  

It was about two and a half years for me (nhs). The assessment was not too bad when it finally happened, and I was diagnosed. I’m glad I did it. Good luck 

Hi, for NHS assessment it is between 2-3 years, it is a postcode lottery, some counties have a shorter time, some have longer times. Have a look at NHS Right to Choose.
