Not being as familiar with practical resources, I thought I would get some advice from the amazing bunch on this forum.
A close friend of my son is a teacher, she's from the US living in the lovely NorthWest in the UK. She was diagnosed ADHD when young but her American mother was so offended, the mother managed to delete it from her history.
Now, being a literal magnet for a conspiracy of ADHD friends, there's no doubt in my mind of her amazing ADHD brain. Aside from her added biological issues with it (EDS), she's on the verge of breaking down and having difficulty coping. She consulted the GP assigned through a Teachers Association who felt she was managing "well enough" and dismissed her request for a proper diagnostic and access to Adderall. She doesn't have the 500 spare quid to go private.
Any thoughts?
