Had my assesment today. Apart from a mini meltdown due to the trains, it went smoothly I’d provided a lot of info prior to going in my letter to my gp ( I broke it down for each heading in the dsm v) so the session lasted around 90 minutes, with him asking questions to clarify a few points. and at the end he diagnosed me with autism.
slightly funny thing happened. He was asking over food sensitivities. There’s a certain breakfast cereal I have issues with (hard to even think about it and type the name but it begins with w) and I almost vomited when trying to talk about it so did prove my point about it
It feels a comfort and reassuring now I have a diagnosis
